With a view to boosting tourism in the state, the Gujarat Government will organise a mega show in the culturally-colourful district of Kutch this month. The three-day event, ''Kutch Sharadotsav'', will be held from October 16 to 18 to coincide with ''sharad purnima'' night on a sprawling Rs 2 crore specially set up typical Kutch village, nearly 30 kms from Bhuj in the Rann of Kutch near Loria village. The traditional mud hutments with thatched roof, locally known as ''Bhungis', have been constructed at the festival site. The different communities like ''Rabari'', ''Sodha'', ''Mutva'' and ''Jat'' will be shown performing all daily activities like milching of cows, churning of butter milk, cooking food and knitting embroidery in the especially set up village. Kutch artisans, famed for their crafts like weaving, block printing, tie and dye, pottery wood carving and different styles of embroidery and leather work, will demonstrate their art and exhibit and sell their products. The visitors will also get a glimpse of the traditional painting known as ''Kamangari'' Art, another archaeological site near Bhadreshwar temple excavated by the Japanese and a fossils collection found in the Jurassic Sandstone.
