Kutch’s pilgrim centres not any more in state tourism list

Narayan Sarovar and Koteshwar on the western-most tip of Kutch are no more in the state tourism list. Narayan Sarovar’s is visited by five to six lakh people every year from across the country and abroad. In fact, one’s pilgrimage is said to be incomplete if one doesn’t take a holy dip at Narayan Sarovar, one of the four holy lakes in the country. The others are Mansarovar (in the Himalayas), Pampa Sarovar (in southern India) and Bindu Sarovar (in northern India). Koteshwar, one-and-a-half km from Naryan Sarovar, has its mention in Hindu mythology.
