44 dead as school bus falls to canal

A school bus carrying students falls into canal near V killing as many as 44 people most of them children.
The bus mishap occured in Bodeli near Vadodara when the bus carrying students were travelling from Targol to Bodeli. The students studied in various schools in Bodeli and was going for the annual exams. With rescue operations underway 41 bodies have been have been fished out of the canal so far. 'The bus driver seemed to have lost control and the bus broke through a protective railing, plunging it into the canal,' says an official. --MP
