A special TADA court has convicted former Gujarat Fisheries minister and Congress leader Mohammad Surti in connection with involvement in the 1993 Surat bombings.

 

Following the 93 Mumbai bombings, which rocked two areas in Surat  which was targetted at the Surat Railway station and Varacha area.

 

The court has sentenced 20 years of imprisonment for him and also found 11 others guilty in connection with the case.
