Global crisis hit IIM placements too

The global economic slowdown seems to have hit almost all sectors especially those in the management industry.

Though IIMs are highly reputed institutes, most recruiting companies are affected by the global economic slowdown which in turn can have a negative impact on the outgoing IIM batches who are awaiting placements with top companies.

Students are left with less offers which would mean relatively lesser salary packages compared to previous years. Most IIMs are underway with its summer placememts now. Unlike earlier, finance and marketing are not so prefered choices now with students focusing on varied sectors like media, entertainment etc.
