More PG seats for Gujarat medicos

Students hailing from Gujarat can now avail more seats under the Gujarat quota for the post graduate medical seats in the state's medical colleges.
This will be granted only for those students who have passed 12th standard from Gujarat schools and admission will be based on merit for the PG seats. Also the parents of such local students must have resided in Gujarat for atleast for the past ten years. The decision on this regard was announced by the State Health Minister after taking into consideration the recommendations of the panel headed by MLA Dr. Kanubhai Kalsaria. --MP
