Bail for absconders

A few days after the apex court's Special Investigating Team(SIT) had declared the duo involved as absconders in connection with the post Godhra riot cases, the minister and the VHP leader were given anticipatory bail by a local court.

The bail was on condition that the two should not leave the country and cooperate with further probe. The two were declared absconders after failing to respond to SIT's summons.
