Gandhi's belongings to be auctioned

Mahatma Gandhi's personal items including his metal rimmed round glasses will go for auction in New york soon.
The move by the US based auction house has however triggered a controversial debate in India, with the Indian government also trying their best to get back Mahatma's rare collections. Gandhi's other belongings going on for auction are a pair of leather sandals, a Zenith pocket watch, and a brass bowl and plate.
The collector says that he had collected these rare belongings over a number of years from various sources such as dealers, family members and auctions. --MP
