Sunday, July 12, 2009
The Bangalore based liquor baron vijay Mallya's remarks to the Gujarat government suggesting that the state government review its prohibition policy has triggered uproar among the BJP ruled Gujarat.
Gujarat's Health Minister has reacted saying Mallya's staements were unfortunate and was untimely as it came when the State was ravellong from the liquor tragedy that killed over 135 lives. In Gujarat prohibition policy is in place since its existence but at the same time not able to implement it effectively to prevent illicit liquor trade and the tragedies related to it. --MP
